As we usher in a new year and a new decade, I would like to wish you a happy and prosperous 2010 and to thank you for supporting VirtuArte in 2009.

The past year has been an exciting one for us. VirtuArte:

• Hosted a "Meet the Artist" event in February with Elhadji Koumama; http://www.virtuarte.com/blog/tuareg-silversmith-comes-washington-dc
• Entered into a partnership with AAUW in April;
• Contributed a Yvette Floro handbag to the Silent Auction at the National Museum of Women in the Arts Gala in April;
• Attended the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market in July; http://www.virtuarte.com/blog/looking-folk-art-santa-fe
• Collaborated with the National Museum of Women in the Arts to host a "Meet the Artist" event with Carol Cassidy in September; http://www.virtuarte.com/blog/presentation-carol-cassidy-meet-artist-event
• Sponsored the Disruptive Women in Health Care -- "The Value of Health" Holiday Reception in December; http://www.disruptivewomen.net/events
• Held and participated in a number of trunk shows throughout the year.

In addition, VirtuArte was featured in an Examiner/DC Online article VirtuArte Promotes Artisan Fine Arts and Fashion by Katherine Limon. In November the Holiday 2009 issue of Distinction featured two Yvette Floro evening bags and in December, Capitol Fashionista's Holiday Gift Guide featured Carol Cassidy's Rainbow Silk Scarf.

This year promises to be another exciting year for VirtuArte. We are planning a "pre-Valentine's Day" show in early February and an event celebrating International Women's Day in March. We are also planning new "Meet the Artist" events and trunk shows. New products and artists will continue to be added to our Collection and a new website is under development.
