Monica Hintze is one of South America's brightest stars and most promising artists. She is from Pernambuco, a city in the northeast of Brazil. Monica graduate from Catholic University in 1994 with a major in painting.

Since her graduation Monica has participated in several major contests and expositions. She took first prize at the Third Walker Painting Contest and received an Honorable Mention at the XIII National Contest of Young Artists.
