Belart is an eclectic mother - daughter artistic team that works with artisans and farmers from Colombia.  It is a socially responsible company with a mission to provide sustainable employment and viable markets for grassroots enterprises empowering women and supporting vulnerable communities.  Belart works in partnership with a number of non-profit/government organizations including Aid to Artisans and Accion Social.

The company buys directly from artisans who make the products and farmers who grow the agave, harvest the tagua seeds or other produce.  Belart supports the harvesting of tagua, agave/fique and other natural - eco materials in a sustainable way.  It also supports the manufacturing of products from these materials under Fair Trade practices, including payment of fair wages and a healthy and safe working environment for producers.   Belart believes that by supporting cross cultural, respectful and enduring partnerships with these communities, it is creating sustainable economic and productive alternatives for these individuals to generate a sustainable income.
