VirtuArte is committed to respecting the privacy and rights of our customers and visitors to our website.  We have developed the following Privacy and Security Policy to inform you how VirtuArte collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide on our website.

Customer information is collected in an effort to improve your shopping experience and to communicate with you about our products, artists, services and promotions.  Be assured we do not sell, rent, lease or share your personal information with any individual, group or company outside of VirtuArte, nor use your personal information in any way you have not clearly authorized.

VirtuArte collects and retains information can be used to identify you when you opt to:

• Make a purchase on VirtuArte.com

• Sign up for notification by e-mail of new artists, new products, updates on artists, events, special promotions or new blog posts

When you:

• Create an account on VirtuArte.com -- you will be asked for a user name, e-mail address, your first name and last name which will be retained by VirtuArte so we can deliver the convenience and customer service you have requested by creating an account.
• Make a purchase on VirtuArte.com -- you will be asked for your e-mail address, delivery information, billing information and credit card information.  VirtuArte will retain your e-mail address, deliver information and billing information so we can process, deliver and track your order, process a return if that becomes necessary, reply to questions or provide you with requested customer service.

VirtuArte sends your credit card information, name and address to Authorize.Net for verification and to authorize your purchase.  We also use FedEx to deliver your purchases.  These companies do not retain, share, store or use your personal information for any purpose except to process your order.

VirtuArte does not store credit card information.

If you are making a purchase for another person, any delivery information you provide will only be used to fulfill your order and will not be shared or distributed to anyone outside of VirtuArte.

• Subscribe to the Newsletter -- you will be asked for your e-mail address which VirtuArte will retain so we may deliver to you our newsletter.
• Sign up for notifications by e-mail of new artists, new products, updates on artists, events, special promotions, or new blog posts -- you will be asked for your e-mail address which VirtuArte will retain so we may deliver to you the various notifications.
• "Become an Artist" -- you will be asked to provide your e-mail address, first name and last name which VirtuArte will retain so we may correspond with you.
• "Share this" -- you will be asked for the e-mail address of the person you want to "share" with and your e-mail address.  This information is used only once to send the e-mail to the other person.
• "Contact us" -- you will be asked for your user name and e-mail address which VirtuArte will retain so we can correspond with you and provide you with the customer service you have requested.

VirtuArte maintains a record of your product interests and the purchases you make.

When you visit VirtuArte.com we collect and retain certain information that does not personally identify you.  Our system may gather information about the areas you visit on the website as well as the IP address you use to connect to the website.  This information will be used both in aggregate and on an individual basis to understand how our customers and visitors use the VirtuArte website in order to improve the website experience for all users.  VirtuArte also reviews what products appeal most to customers as a group.  This information is used to improve product selection.
